Voya Investment Management Announces Appointment of John Simone to the Board of Gigi’s Playhouse
Voya Investment Management, the asset management business of Voya Financial, Inc. (NYSE: VOYA), announced today that John Simone, managing director, head, Insurance Solutions Group has joined the board of directors of Gigi’s Playhouse. Gigi’s Playhouse is the only network of Down Syndrome Achievement Centers, with 41 brick and mortar and pop up locations across the United States and Mexico.
With a mission to change the way the world views Down syndrome and send a global message of acceptance for all, GiGi’s Playhouse provides free, life changing therapeutic, educational and career training programs for over 30,000 individuals of all ages. From prenatal diagnosis to career skills, GiGi’s makes a lifetime commitment to remain by their side, empowering families with the tools their child needs to exceed.

In his role as head of the Insurance Solutions Group, Simone and his team are responsible for servicing the asset management needs of insurance companies across the life, property and casualty industries. Simone holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation as well as Series 3, 7, 63 and 24 licenses from FINRA. He earned an MBA from Fordham University as well as a bachelor's degree in economics from Rutgers University.
