Voya Financial and Voya Foundation fund several signature partnerships that serve the K-12 and higher education communities:

Junior Achievement

By working with volunteers, educators, parents and others, Junior Achievement seeks to educate and inspire students to value free enterprise and economics to improve the quality of their lives. Voya Foundation has partnered with Junior Achievement USA as well as working with select Junior Achievement chapters to help teach children the basics of saving and investing. In particular, we support JA’s Discovery Center Finance Park program, an experiential financial literacy center where students learn about saving, budgeting, household expenditures, and investments based on life’s stages, income and family composition. This program has reached thousands of children since its inception and has engaged countless employees of Voya Financial as volunteer educators to provide the award-winning JA curriculum to children. Voya Foundation also funded the JA Influencer, an online resource to help students better understand the economics of topics including workforce readiness, college, careers, entrepreneurship and more.

National Teacher of the Year

Voya Financial is proud to be a presenting sponsor of the National Teacher of the Year, a program of the Council of Chief State School Officers, which is the oldest, most prestigious national honors program recognizing excellence in K-12 education in the U.S.

Voya Scholars™

Voya Foundation provides college scholarships to select individuals who have successfully completed its programming and are working towards degrees and certificates in higher education. In addition, Voya Scholars™ houses scholarships awarded as a component of other Voya Foundation programming.

Voya-Girls Inc. Investment Challenge

Voya Financial in partnership with Girls Inc., launched the Voya-Girls Inc. Investment Challenge — an innovative program that gave participating girls practical, hands-on investing experience while allowing them to keep their gains in the form of college scholarships. With the help and guidance of trained Girls Inc. staff and Voya Financial employee volunteers, teams of girls ages 12-18 learned the basics of personal finance and then progressed to build and manage diversified, real-time portfolios as part of an integrated investment- and economic-literacy curriculum. The program began in New York, Denver, Los Angeles and Alameda counties in California and subsequently expanded into metro Atlanta, Holyoke and Minneapolis. The Investment Challenge celebrated its successful completion in 2016.

Voya Unsung Heroes® Program
